El karate es un deporte apto para pequeños y mayores así como para gente con diferentes capacidades físicas.
En la búsqueda de nuevos espacios y deportes que permitan combinar una vida sana con las actuales restricciones, se abre un abanico de posibilidades que permiten descubrir nuevas prácticas deportivas que escapan de la sala de pesas y del running en el parque. Es más, para todos aquellos que no se sienten cómodos en un gimnasio, el karate puede ser la respuesta idónea.
Este arte marcial de origen japonés es uno de los deportes más completos que se pueden practicar y conjuga la parte física y mental mientras se ejercita. «Es un deporte universal, adaptable a todas las necesidades», explica Almudena Muñoz, directora de comunicación de la Real Federación Española de Karate. Diversas son las razones y objetivos a los cuales nos conduce el acercarnos con nuestro hijo a la practica del Kárate, a la hora de entrenar estas pueden ser muy diversas y variados, algunos son: poder hacer de él un karateka completo, tanto física como mentalmente, completando la plenitud de sus fuerzas, sirviendo como plataforma para el desarrollo integral de esta sociedad, etc…
El Kárate desarrolla las aptitudes fundamentales del niño como son:
- A) El desarrollo de la función psicomotriz: Percepción del propio cuerpo, equilibrio, conocimiento del tiempo y del espacio, y coordinación.
- B) Normalización o mejoramiento del comportamiento de un niño, preparándolo para su integración social. Además de aumentar las aptitudes generales: Desarrollo de todas las funciones del cuerpo.
¿A QUE EDAD SE PUEDE COMENZAR ?
Para los más jóvenes la edad idónea para que empiecen a absorber las enseñanzas es de 5 años. Los médicos aconsejan el inicio de la práctica de un deporte a una edad temprana, ya que, como hemos dicho, el Kárate implica el desarrollo psicomotriz, precisamente porque la capacidad de coordinación y asimilación en los niños le es de una gran ayuda. Pero el comienzo en la practica no tiene edad, es un hecho comprobado que también los mayores ganan en agilidad y su concentración mejora con la practica del mismo.

The official bulletin of the 2021 Karate 1-Premier League Rabat has now been published. As the anticipated event reaches the two-months-to-go mark, the official document outlining the main organisational elements of the tournament is now online.
The 2021 Karate 1-Premier League in Rabat is scheduled to be held from April 9 to 11, 2021. The event is one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year since it is included in the Olympic qualification process. Karatekas from around the world will find there the last opportunity to earn the points to qualify for the Olympic Games by standings.
One of the flagship events of the year, the Karate 1-Premier League Rabat will take place in the Multi-Purpose Stadiums Prince Moulay Abdellah. Celebrated following the COVID-19 protocol and with all the safety measures, the tournament is organised by the Moroccan Karate Federation under the patronage of HM The King Mohammed VI.
It is the fifth time that Rabat hosts a Karate 1-Premier League event. Before the cancellation of the event in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, nearly 600 competitors from 75 countries participated in the 2019 edition of the event.
